Barramundi is a fish found in the coastal waters of Australia. This fish is versatile and is beautiful steamed, grilled, baked or fried. Described by many as sweet, the mild taste of the barramundi makes it a perfect addition to many recipes.

It's also called Australian Sea Bass. Our Barramundi Fillets are a Wild Caught product and are harvested in the clear pristine waters off Australia's coast. This product is processed the same day of harvest, ensuring the very highest quality available.

Easy, Quick Grilled Barramundi

Prep Time:   Cooking Time:   From the recipe files of
  • 2 or 3 12 oz. Barramundi Fillets
  • 1 Tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 Teaspoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 Dash Salt
  • 1 Dash Pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon Parsley (or any herb you like)

  1. Preheat grill to high.
  2. Season fish fillets with salt and pepper, and coat with 1 Tbsp. of olive oil.
  3. Drizzle lemon juice over the plate where you'll put the fish once it's off the grill.
  4. Pick up a wad of paper towel with tongs, dip it into olive oil and use it to brush grill rack.
  5. Place fish on grill and cover grill. Cook for 3 min. Turn grill down to medium. Flip fillets, cover grill, and cook an additional 3 min per inch of thickness.
  6. To test for doneness, insert spatula under a thin edge of fillet and lift half of fillet perpendicular to grill. If the flakes separate, the fish is done. Lift fillet off grill and place it on the prepared plate to get it flavored with lemon juice.
  7. Garnish with herbs and serve.
